According to a regulatory statement released by Royal Enfield's owner, Eicher Motors Limited, the renowned motorbike company recorded a 26% year-on-year (YoY) sales gain in May 2025. In the 350 cc market, the motorcycle manufacturer known for its retro-themed designs has seen a 28% year-over-year increase in sales last month, while in the sector with a higher engine capacity, it has seen a 16% growth.

The native motorcycle maker, which sells well-known models in the 350 cc sector, such as the Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350, and Meteor 350, sold 76,492 units in May 2025, up from 59,852 units during the same period of the previous year. The number of units sold by Royal Enfield in this market increased by 14% from 132,718 in the same period last year to 150,774 in the first two months of this financial year.

Royal Enfield markets models with an engine capacity exceeding 350 cc, such as the Classic 650, Scram 440, Bear 650, Guerrilla 450, Shotgun 650, Himalayan, Super Meteor 650, Interceptor 650, and Continental GT 650, in that category. The motorcycle company sold 12,937 units in this segment last month, a 16% increase from the 11,158 units sold in the same month the previous year. Royal Enfield sold 25,214 motorcycles in this category in April and May of this year, a 25% increase over the 20,162 units that were sold during the same period the previous year.

When combined, the domestic and foreign market numbers for Royal Enfield sales in May 2025 show that 89,429 units were sold, a 26% increase from the 71,010 units sold during the same month the previous year. Additionally, the motorcycle maker's total sales for the first two months of this fiscal year increased by 15% to 175,988 units from 152,880 units during the same time last fiscal.

The sale of 13,609 Royal Enfield units in May 2025, which is an 82% increase over the 7,479 units sold in the same month the previous year, marked a notable increase in the company's exports. In contrast, the firm sent 24,166 units to foreign markets in April and May of this year, which is a 69% rise from the 14,311 units that were recorded during the same period last year.
