The Pack 2 models of the XEV 9e and BE 6 now include the bigger 79 kWh battery pack that Mahindra and Mahindra have listened to customer comments and introduced. The smaller 59 kWh battery pack was previously the only option available for the Pack 2 models. The brand deserves a special mention for giving existing Pack 2 users the choice to switch to the larger battery pack.

The BE 6 is priced at ₹21.90 lakh and comes with a 59 kWh battery pack and Pack 2, while the 79 kWh battery pack costs ₹23.50 lakh. The XEV 9e Pack 2 comes with a 59 kWh battery pack and costs ₹24.90 lakh, while the 79 kWh model costs ₹26.50 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. It is important to emphasize that the cost of the charger and its installation are not included in these figures. Customers can choose between a 7.2 kW and an 11.2 kW charger.

The Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 have what specifications?

According to Mahindra, the BE 6 may have a range of 535 kilometers when fitted with the 59 kWh battery. The claimed range rises to 682 km for individuals who choose the bigger 79 kWh battery. In the meantime, the XEV 9e is reported to have a somewhat greater range of 542 km with the 59 kWh unit and 656 km with the 79 kWh pack.

Both battery choices support DC rapid charging at rates up to 175 kW. With this, the battery may be charged from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes, making it ideal for rapid top-ups.

The larger battery increases the maximum power output to 285 horsepower, while the smaller one produces a peak output of 230 horsepower in terms of performance. Both SUVs produce a consistent torque of 380 Nm, regardless of battery size. These electric vehicles will first be available from Mahindra in a rear-wheel drive configuration only. Drivers will also have three distinct driving modes—Range, Everyday, and Race—as well as supplementary Boost and One-Pedal Drive features.

By the end of July, Mahindra said, the XEV 9e and BE 6's Pack 2 will begin to be delivered.
