The automaker Hyundai Motor India said that it has reached a new milestone by selling more than 1.1 million vehicles in the nation, with a focus on vehicles with sunroofs. In only five years, the South Korean car behemoth reached the milestone number, demonstrating the rising popularity of sunroofs among Indian purchasers. The availability of a sunroof has been a significant factor in the purchasing decision for customers considering an aspirational purchase.

A sunroof is included with every Hyundai vehicle sold in India

A sunroof is now included with every second Hyundai vehicle sold in India. According to the manufacturer, about 52% of its U.S. sales included sunroofs. The contribution increased even more to 54% during the first half of the current calendar year (January–June 2025).

Twelve of the fourteen Hyundai vehicles available in India include a sunroof

Currently, approximately 12 out of 14 Hyundai vehicles have sunroofs. The feature was recently made available in lower models of Hyundai vehicles, making it more accessible to the general public. According to the automaker, the brand has localized the panoramic sunroof in its lineup, making it simpler to manufacture and more affordable. The fact that the automaker also offers Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in its lineup is intriguing, with nine of its fourteen models including the safety feature.
