The Clavis features a premium cabin arrangement with two 12.3-inch screens, one serving as the infotainment system and the other as the digital driver's display. The majority of competitors have smaller infotainment screens and conventional analog dials, making this a significant improvement. These huge displays give the inside a more upscale appearance and improve visibility.

The Clavis, however, does not have wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, which is a bit of a surprise considering that all of its direct rivals do. Although the lower models have a smaller 8-inch screen, they provide wireless connection for both of them.

By adding amenities not typically found in other MPVs at this price range, Kia has concentrated on improving the Clavis's cabin comfort. The highlights are a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and an integrated air purifier with a second-row control display. These qualities make daily life more comfortable, especially in cities with high temperatures or high levels of pollution.

On the other hand, none of the competitors have an integrated air purifier or a sunroof, but the XL6 is the only model with ventilated seats.

The Clavis has a notable improvement in safety technology, with Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) as standard equipment. The car has a segment-first offering among its immediate competitors with features like automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist that provide additional driver assistance, particularly on highways.

The Clavis is also equipped with front and rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera, making it simpler to drive and park in congested city environments. The XL6 is the only model in its class that has a 360-degree camera, while the majority of rivals just provide a backup camera.

Four contemporary comforts

The Clavis' electronic parking brake with auto hold replaces the traditional handbrake, giving the center console a more streamlined appearance and offering more convenience. In addition, this aids in usability in stop-go traffic situations. This feature is absent from any of the rivals, including the XL6 and the Innova Crysta, which all use manual handbrake levers.

The electric one-touch tumble feature on the second row seats of the Clavis makes it easier to enter the third row. This is an improvement over the manual tumbling action of the Innova Crysta, and it's a feature that's not found in the Ertiga, XL6, or Rumion. This little improvement can have a significant impact on everyday usability for families or elderly travelers.
