The Emira range was launched in India by Lotus Cars in January of this year, and the British brand has already made modifications to its straightforward mid-engine sports vehicle. The Lotus Emira lineup for 2026 has been released in Europe and the United Kingdom, with technological advancements that enhance its performance and daily usability. The car has two new color choices in addition to the mechanical modifications: Purple Haze metallic and EOS Green.

According to Lotus, the 2026 Emira lineup includes a re-optimized cooling system that improves airflow to both the main cooling radiator and the transmission oil cooler. The car's weight is further decreased by the rerouted cooling lines, which causes a modest improvement in performance.

In order to provide faster and more seamless gear shifts, the Turbo models' eight-speed dual-clutch transmission system has also been retuned.

Lotus Emira V6 SE

The 2026 Emira V6 SE features optimised dampers and wheel alignment for sharper handling and enhanced ride comfort.

The Emira, which is powered by a V6 engine, is now known as the Emira V6 SE and is marketed as the top model in the range. To improve steering response and ride comfort, Lotus has fine-tuned the wheel alignment and dampers. However, the 3.5-liter supercharged V6 engine has not been changed. With its six-speed manual transmission, this device generates 400 bhp, and it also has a novel compression mount for more accurate gear shifts.

The Lotus Emira has standard ADAS to guarantee safety, and an Extended Co-Driver Pack is offered for more assistance. The vehicle comes with standard features like fatigue detection, traffic sign recognition (TSR), blind spot warning, lane departure warning, and autonomous emergency braking (AEB). Adaptive Cruise Control (only available with automatic transmission), Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Door Opening Warning, and High Beam Assist are all included in the optional Extended Co-Driver Package.

Lotus Emira Turbo and Turbo SE:

The 2026 Emira Turbo and Turbo SE share an AMG-sourced 2.0-litre 4-cylinder twin-scroll turbo engine that gets mated to an 8-speed DCT.

The Emira Turbo, which is the entry-level model, is equipped with an AMG-sourced 2.0-liter four-cylinder twin-scroll turbocharged engine and an eight-speed DCT. This device provides 360 horsepower in the Turbo model and 400 horsepower in the higher-spec Turbo SE.

The Emira Turbo has sophisticated safety measures including traffic sign identification, blind spot warning, autonomous emergency braking, and fatigue detection. 12-way power adjustable seats with memory, a 190W audio system, and wireless connection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto all contribute to the driver's comfort. To enhance both functionality and appearance, customers can select packages such as the Extended Co-Driver Pack, the Extended Lower Black Pack, and the Convenience Pack.

Pricing and availability of the Lotus Emira lineup

The Turbo model, which costs £79,500 (₹91.99 lakh), is the entry point for the 2026 Lotus Emira series. £96,500 (₹1.11 crore) is the price of the top-of-the-line V6 SE. The updated model is anticipated to arrive in India by 2026, while reservations are currently available in Europe and the UK. With an ex-showroom cost of ₹3.22 crore, the 2025 Emira Turbo is currently available for purchase nationwide.
