The new model is already available for purchase in the UK, with prices beginning at £45,440, while a verified launch date in India is still being awaited.

The Design of the 2026 Land Rover Discovery Sport

The 2026 Discovery Sport has a more complex and dynamic visual identity, which is conveyed through three new unique variants: the Metropolitan Edition, Landmark, and Dynamic S, the latter of which is the new flagship. With glossy black elements on the grille, lower bumpers, and body panels, the now entry-level model, the Dynamic S, has a more sporty appearance, which enhances the SUV's aggressiveness and urban appeal.

In the meanwhile, The Landmark Edition pays homage to Discovery's groundbreaking legacy by including distinctive tread plates, a mountain-range emblem modeled after the original 1989 Discovery, and puddle lights with a higher-beam illumination. Features that make it more appealing include a panoramic sunroof and second-row seats that recline and slide.

With Atlas Silver badging, Indus Silver-finished skid plates, a silver-accented grille, and 20-inch diamond-turned alloy wheels, the Metropolitan Edition's top-of-the-line conveys opulence and presence. Gloss black finishes are available as an option to further enhance its luxurious appearance.

The 2026 Discovery Sport combines luxury and practicality with up to seven seats, 24 different seating configurations, and a maximum luggage capacity of 1,794 liters. Every Discovery Sport now includes a digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted gear paddles, and a new 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen that runs on the most recent Pivi Pro infotainment system. The system provides rapid access to media, navigation, and climate control, with intuitive sidebars and up to 90% of operations available in two taps.

All models come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. The Metropolitan Edition enhances in-car opulence with 14-way electrically adjustable heated and cooled Windsor leather seats, a 650W 14-speaker Meridian™ surround sound system, and Clearsight rearview mirror technology for better visibility.

With everything from collapsible storage to sunshades and roof boxes for all sorts of excursions, Land Rover has also introduced lifestyle-oriented accessory packs. 'Snow Days' is now joined by 'Beach Days' and 'Road Trips'.

The 2026 Discovery Sport maintains its blend of mild hybrid (MHEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains. The PHEV model has a pure electric range of up to 36 miles (61 km), which is sufficient to handle the majority of daily trips without gasoline. Additionally, it allows DC fast charging, which can charge the battery from 0% to 80% in only 30 minutes.

Ingenium petrol and diesel engines, coupled with a 48-volt mild hybrid system for increased efficiency and a smoother stop-start, are also part of the lineup. With all models featuring standard all-wheel drive, they make excellent companions both on and off the road, regardless of the powertrain.
