Smriti Irani, an actor and politician, will soon be back on television with Ektaa Kapoor's legendary series Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Tulsi, her beloved character, is back, and fans are thrilled. Smriti discussed in a recent Aaj Tak interview how the original program revolutionized Indian television and paved the way for the success of many of its contributors.
Smriti Irani, on how Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi transformed the lives of the cast and crew
"From 2000 to 2008, our team redefined television in a completely new way," Smriti stated, emphasizing the revolutionary aspect of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. In those days, people didn't watch TV at 10:30 PM. It was unusual for women to produce television shows, and it was also rare for any show to feature female actors as its main narrators and main stars. It was a watershed moment in our lives when we were able to establish all of these things.

"I still remember when we first started working on the show; we were about 120–150 people," she added. We all lived in our homes and cars. Through Kyunki, we all established the financial bedrock of our existence. We can be seen on TV, but many people are unaware of the number of homes that maintain their stoves lit just because someone turns on the television.
Concerning Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi
The groundbreaking Indian soap opera Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, which ran on Star Plus from 2000 to 2008, is the reason for this. The program, which centered around the Virani family and their righteous daughter-in-law Tulsi, played by Smriti Irani, was created by Ektaa Kapoor for Balaji Telefilms. The program established the "saas-bahu" genre, which ruled Indian television for many years, thanks to its emotional narration, dramatic storylines, and memorable catchphrases.
The show is now returning after a 17-year hiatus. On July 29, the reboot will make its debut on JioCinema (previously Hotstar) and Star Plus. In the new commercial, Tulsi discusses the significance of sanskar (moral values) in our fast-paced society. "Tulsi is returning with a fresh perspective in a changing world! Are you prepared to join her on this new journey?" the caption said. Are you prepared to accompany her on this adventure?
