Major Blaze Erupts on Anupamaa Set; All Cast and Crew Safe
5 months ago | 5 Views
A big fire broke out on the set of the popular TV show Anupamaa early this morning. The flames started around 5 a.m., just two hours before filming was supposed to begin. This timing was dangerous because many cast and crew were already on set. Thankfully, no one got hurt, and everyone is confirmed safe. The reason for the fire is not known yet, but photos show heavy damage to key parts of the studio. In response, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has called for a detailed investigation.
They stressed how crucial safety rules are on TV sets, especially for long-running shows with large crews and tight schedules. Anupamaa, made by Rajan and Deepa Shahi from Director’s Kut Productions, is one of India’s most loved shows. It's a Hindi remake of the Bengali series Sreemoyee, with Rupali Ganguly in the main role. The show started with Sudhanshu Pandey, Madalsa Sharma, and Gaurav Khanna, but since October 2024, it has shifted to new characters played by Adrija Roy and Shivam Khajuria. Ganguly continues her popular role. Fans and others in the industry are relieved no one was hurt but are worried about safety standards. The incident reminds everyone of the risks behind the scenes in TV making. For now, filming is paused while damage is checked and repairs are made.
