The forthcoming ROG Xbox Recent price leaks indicate that the Ally handheld gaming device might end up costing far more than many had anticipated. Although Microsoft and Asus unveiled the device last month, there were many concerns about its price. Numbers that the Spanish gaming website 3DJuegos found on an Asus site indicate that the Xbox Ally may cost €599 (approximately $700 or ₹58,500), while the more expensive Xbox Ally X may cost €899 (about $1,050 or ₹87,900).

Although the Euro prices do not always convert precisely to US dollars or Indian rupees, hardware manufacturers typically price comparable models with comparable numbers across regions, regardless of currency. The real cost before taxes is often less since European prices often include taxes. But for Indian customers, import duties and GST often raise the price of the gadget even more, which means that it will probably be among the more expensive premium handheld devices.

The new ROG Xbox Ally costs how much?

The price of the ROG Ally, which was first released in 2023, was about $700 in the United States, and the price of the Ally X was $800. According to reports, the new Xbox Ally and Ally X will include updated AMD CPUs and enhanced features, such as a 7-inch 120Hz screen and up to 24 GB of RAM. Early appearances indicate that the user experience will resemble the feel of an Xbox console in a handheld, moving away from the cumbersome Windows-only interface seen on earlier devices.

Additionally, there are worries that the actual cost in India might be higher, particularly if new tariffs on consumer electronics are implemented in August. Due to tariffs on products imported from China, the price of Xbox consoles in the United States has already gone up, and similar expenses may affect items manufactured in Vietnam and sold in India.

Interestingly, the Xbox Ally and Ally X are positioning themselves squarely against rivals like the Steam Deck in the handheld gaming industry. But Windows optimization is still a major problem. Compared to the streamlined Linux-based Steam Deck, a lot of these Windows-based devices still have problems with battery life and game performance. Instead of using a typical Windows configuration, Xbox appears to be addressing this by launching a new user interface that is better suited for mobile gaming.

These leaked costs have not been verified by Microsoft or Asus, therefore the situation may still shift prior to the formal announcement. Although the Xbox Ally and Ally X are anticipated to be released later this year, probably before the holiday season, it is still unknown how much they will truly cost when they arrive in Indian retail establishments.
