The rumor that Hulk Hogan is on his deathbed was disproved this week after a startling allegation threw the web into a frenzy. The WWE legend was hospitalized, but it was to treat his ongoing neck problems.

The rumors started when Bubba the Love Sponge, a local radio personality, went on the air and said he had heard that Hogan, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, was in poor condition after being admitted to the hospital and that he "might not make it." The news spread so quickly that the icon's loved ones started receiving calls to say farewell.

Bubba asserted that his source was rock solid, but in reality, it was everything but.

A representative for Hogan informed TMZ Sports that the 71-year-old is in the hospital "dealing with more of the same ailments he's had for years," but that he is not near to death. The back to moving around already report also stated, "Hogan."

Hogan had previously claimed that he had around 25 operations. In a September 2024 appearance on the IMPAULSIVE podcast with Jake Paul, he stated, "I've had like 25 surgeries in the last ten years. I've had 10 back surgeries, both knees and both hips replaced, shoulders—everything."

The situation concerning Hogan also followed only three months after Brooke Hogan, his daughter, discussed their troubled family.

The 37-year-old stated in a March 27 Instagram post, "No contact with my Mom has nothing to do with my Dad, and no contact with my Father has nothing to do with my Mother." "I so badly wanted to see good in them, protect, help, and start anew-just to be disrespected again and again. I longed for a normal family, but it never came to fruition."

She continued, "Their behavior became more painful than their absence."

The allegation has not yet been addressed by the former WWE wrestler.
