From the victory parade in Bengaluru on Wednesday, Virat Kohli, a celebrity with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, sent a poignant message to his wife Anushka Sharma, thanking her for her unwavering support throughout the franchise's pursuit of its first IPL championship. After a protracted wait, the Rajat Patidar-led team ultimately triumphed over Punjab Kings by six runs on Tuesday night in Ahmedabad.

In a sweet caption accompanying a picture of himself and Anushka from the Narendra Modi Stadium festivities, Kohli shared the image on Instagram. The victory meant as much to Anushka because she had been an eyewitness to RCB's journey since 2014, he added.

“I’ve seen it for 18 years, and she has seen it for 11. At the Chinnaswamy, I've rejoiced in every narrow victory and the craziness of our fans, as well as endured the same ups and downs since 2014. This is much more unique to her because she is a Bangalore native as well, and we are both equally relieved. "Together all the way through," he said.. 

The RCB victory parade starts

Despite the rain in Bengaluru, the RCB squad, along with Kohli, gathered at Vidahna Soudha, where Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah congratulated them. The state's Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar welcomed the RCB players at the airport earlier in the day.

The entire RCB squad will later participate in the highly anticipated open-top bus parade from Vidhana Soudha to the stadium, which will also commence at 5 p.m. with the CM's approval. The Bengaluru Traffic Police previously said that it may not happen due to traffic congestion along the route.
