Virat Kohli to Chinnaswamy Crowd: ‘Let Me Talk’ After Being Interrupted Twice During RCB’s IPL Victory Celebration

Virat Kohli has had a fantastic last twelve hours. When the Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the IPL 2025, the man, who was consistently a livewire on the field and who had been an anchor, broke down, fulfilled his goal, and flew to Bengaluru to celebrate with the RCB supporters. Kohli admitted that he slept soundly but left Ahmedabad for Bengaluru early on Thursday morning. Kohli arrived in the city as part of the RCB victory celebrations, then went to the hotel where he and his colleagues were greeted with great fanfare. The squad then made a brief visit to Vidhan Soudha for congratulations before starting on their way to the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, their ultimate location.

Kohli was nowhere to be seen as the players flaunted the enormous piece of goldware while climbing up one of the stands. The enthusiastic welcome from the audience was embraced by Captain Rajat Patidar, who lifted the IPL trophy to a thunderous applause. Because Kohli arrived on the scene quickly, the word thunderous was saved for him. In front of a packed Chinnaswamy, Kohli seized the spotlight, waved to the audience, pointed at them, and at last kissed the IPL trophy.

Then, the athletes descended to the ground, and who could speak about the victory in front of the crowd better than Kohli? However, the organizers and he had overestimated the difficulty. It took Kohli nearly two minutes to speak. As a matter of fact, the noise levels were so high that Kohli had to halt twice during their performance.

"First, I want to say..." he stated before a loud cheer broke his sentence. "Okay, I'm going to start off by saying something that (again stops)."

"So I don't have much time," Kohli said at last, after allowing the audience to calm down. Allow me to speak. What our captain said is what I'm going to start by saying again. The name of the Ee sala cup is no longer. It's our cup, Ee saala. We've succeeded, and this triumph is for you all as well as for me and the past 18 years. The supporters, the fans. This is primarily for you. It's remarkable how much trust and affection you've all displayed throughout the years. You guys have a fanbase unlike any I've ever encountered.

Kohli then made sure that the other man of the hour received his dues by introducing his captain, Rajat Patidar, on stage. Patidar's tale is nothing less than a fairy tale. Patidar surpassed all expectations, going from being an injury replacement for RCB to taking over as their captain, leading the franchise to IPL triumph in his debut season as captain. Kohli, of all people, had great faith in Patidar from the start and reaffirmed that trust in front of the entire world.

"I had asked and requested you guys to back and support our new captain when we did our unbox and were going to call on him. And I only stated one thing quite clearly. He will be our leader for many years to come. Because he has demonstrated himself, I want you to shout the loudest. Brought home the trophy for us. Rajat Patidar, our captain, is here to greet you.
