Tyrese Haliburton tore his ACL while playing the NBA Finals Game 7. The Indiana Pacers star suffered a lower right leg injury and was helped off the court against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.

Haliburton was brought to the Pacers' locker room for examination after not putting any weight on the leg. The entire Indiana medical, coaching, and playing team encircled him on the court as soon as he was injured.

Due to an Achilles injury, the Pacers have stated that Tyrese Haliburton will not be able to participate in the NBA Finals Game 7.

Haliburton scored nine points, all from three-pointers, before his injury at the 4:55 mark of the quarter. As Tyrese Haliburton was being assisted off the court due to the aggravation of his injury, John Haliburton, the star's father, could be seen crying in the audience.

Haliburton, a contender for the NBA Finals MVP, previously sustained a calf injury during Game 5 of the series. Even if he didn't really seem to be looking for a shot in the second half, he still played through the last three quarters of that defeat to the Thunder.

He also missed his first four shots in Game 7 of the NBA Finals on Thursday. After that, he recovered in some way. He appeared nothing like the man who was hobbling in Game 5 to the point where it seemed like he was dragging his right leg behind him, as he was now jumping, cutting, shooting from 30 feet away, and occasionally twisting in the air.

Due to a hamstring ailment that prevented him from participating in Games 3 and 4 of the Eastern Conference finals against the eventual winner Boston Celtics, Haliburton was forced to sit out the final two games of last season's playoff run. Haliburton, who later that year went on to win a gold medal for the United States at the Paris Olympics, missed both of those games, which the Pacers lost by three points.
