He had a hard time in Game 5 on Monday, even leaving the field for a while because of worry about injuries. The most pressing issue for any fan after the Pacers lost 2-3 to the Thunder will be whether Tyrese Haliburton will be available for Game 6 on Thursday.

Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers is thought to have a strained right calf and will have an MRI to assess the extent of the injury, according to sources cited by Shams Charania of ESPN.

Throughout the majority of the series, the injury has been a problem. Haliburton acknowledged that there wasn't much to talk about before Game 3, referring to it as "just a lower leg thing," after clearly limping during Game 2.

After an uncomfortable fall in the first quarter, Haliburton seized his lower right leg and briefly exited Game 5 of the NBA Finals for medical care.

To his credit, Haliburton persevered for 34 minutes, mostly serving as a facilitating decoy in the second half and seldom attempting a shot. The Pacers were defeated by the Oklahoma City Thunder 120-109 on Monday night, dropping them to 3-2 in the series. He scored four points, all from the free throw line.

There doesn't seem to be much of a choice regarding his availability for Thursday night, but Pacers coach Rick Carlisle stated the team would see how Haliburton feels in the next few days. He definitely wants to play.

"It's the finals, dude. I want to be able to compete and support my teammates in any way I can since I've put in a lot of effort to get here. "I don't really think about not playing here," Haliburton remarked.
