Sanjay Krishnamurthi, CS student from Bengaluru, hammers Rachin Ravindra for four back-to-back sixes

While everyone was focused on Finn Allen, who was hitting the ball all over the place during a Major League Cricket (MCL) match between the San Francisco Unicorns and the Washington Freedom, a 22-year-old Bengaluru native made waves with his batting feats. On Friday at the Oakland Coliseum, Sanjay Krishnamurthi, a cricketer of Indian descent who plays for the USA, burst into the spotlight by hitting New Zealand international Rachin Ravindra for four straight sixes in one over.
After Jake Fraser-McGurk's wicket fell in the final over of the powerplay, Krishnamurthi entered the crease and eased into his innings by nudging singles. However, as soon as he spotted Ravindra's left-arm spin, he sprang into action. Krishnamurthi hit Ravindra for four straight sixes in the eighth over.
It was expected that Krishnamurthi would hit all four of his sixes in the deep mid-wicket and long-on areas. He is exceptionally powerful off his pads, and Ravindra kept playing to that. Krishnamurthi was able to line up the Washington bowler and launch an attack because the pitch provided little support for the bowlers.
Finn Allen and Krishnamurthi put together a scorching 88-run partnership in only 37 balls, with Krishnamurthi scoring 36 runs off 20 deliveries. With 19 sixes to assist San Francisco score 269/5 in their 20 overs, Allen went on to shatter several T20 records, finishing with 151 off 51 balls. This total was far too high for the Washington Freedom to handle. They fell to 146 all out in 13.1 overs after a scorching beginning. The game was won by San Francisco by an astounding 123 runs.
Although Allen, who broke the record for the most sixes in T20 cricket, was the clear standout, Krishnamurthi did make an impression on the match.

The tale of Sanjay Krishnamurthi is as follows.
According to The Times of India, Krishnamurthi, who was born in Arizona, USA, moved to Karnataka in the hope of representing India at the highest level. He soon discovered that there were numerous obstacles to representing India while representing the Karnataka U116 squad. The two most significant factors were the supreme pool of talent that India has in cricket, which makes the competition fierce, and his Overseas Citizen of India card, which prohibits him from representing India internationally.
"Yeah, the aim was to represent India ever since I began playing cricket in India. However, I believe I was realistic as well. That it was possible. However, I cannot rely on anything occurring. Because there are so many additional players. And if it doesn't occur, what will my life be like? "And yet, to make it happen, you have to throw everything at it, you can't go in half-heartedly," said the 22-year-old, who has played for the USA in 14 ODIs and 9 T20Is.
Krishanmurthi's professional cricket career took a different turn in 2019 when he participated in the MLC trials, as his dream of playing for India was almost dashed after he chose not to renounce his American citizenship.
Since then, Krishanmurthi has been playing cricket for the USA and balancing his life as a Computer Student at San Jose University in San Francisco. After he showcased several notable performances for the USA in ODI cricket, he received some leeway from the university's instructors. He signed an MLC deal with the San Francisco Unicorns last year.
"My first time playing for real was last season, and it was an amazing experience, especially alongside players like Cummins, who is the Australian captain and one of the best in the world right now. I didn't really know where I stood at the highest level until that point, so it was a chance for me to compare myself to these men. "But it gave me a lot of confidence after last season," he remarked.
