The summit match between Spain and Portugal ended at 2-2 after regular time, and the game ultimately went to the penalty shootout, where each side had all to gain.

Portugal then defeated Spain in an exciting conclusion by scoring all five of their spot kicks.

The match between Portugal and Spain in the UEFA Nations League final was hyped as the battle between Ronaldo and Lamine Yamal. But Ronaldo demonstrated why experience cannot be replaced. The seasoned player stood up for Portugal when it counted the most, scoring the equalizer that tied Spain and Portugal at 2-2.

Yamal, on the other hand, did not make an impact on the game since he did not score any goals.

In the 88th minute, Ronaldo was taken off the field. Afterward, he joined the rest of the coaching group in watching the game. Ronaldo confessed that he was playing with an injury after the game.

But he said that, even if it meant playing with a shattered leg, he would not have missed the conclusion.
