June 3, India – In the IPL 2025 final on Tuesday, Royal Challengers Bengaluru legend AB de Villiers was really struck by Jitesh Sharma's scoop shot against Kyle Jamieson's pace delivery. Shortly after RCB lost Virat Kohli, the wicket-keeper batter assaulted the Punjab Kings bowler, leaving them at 131/4 with five overs left.

Jitesh Sharma scored two sixes off Jamieson as he spearheaded RCB's attack against Punjab. Mr 360, AB de Villiers, was taken aback by the first of the two maximums. When the South African legend, who was in the commentary booth, stated "Sharma is on fire," he was questioned about the scoop shot.

With the first delivery of the 17th over, Kyle Jamieson bowled a little short to Jitesh Sharma, who remained in the line and scooped the ball over the wicketkeeper's head for a six.

"This is intensity, he was already ready for the shot," AB de Villiers responded right away.

But Sharma was not finished. He was once again confronted with a short pitch, which he placed over long-off. The 31-year-old was eventually dismissed after 24 runs off 10 balls when he made a massive swing at Vijaykumar Vyshak's length ball. Before disrupting the off stump, the inside edge landed on the back thigh.
