Phantom Calls Stir Controversy Among Fans in NBA Finals Game 6

5 months ago | 5 Views

The NBA Finals appear to be progressing towards a Game 7; however, one aspect remains constant throughout the six games played thus far: the dissatisfaction of fans regarding officiating.

The Indiana Pacers, confronted with a must-win scenario, have delivered a commanding performance in the first half, leading by 22 points at halftime. Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder are faced with a challenging task of overcoming a 42-64 deficit, prompting fans to express their discontent with the referees and their decisions.

Some fans have labeled the NBA Finals as ‘rigged’, while others have suggested that the league is aiming for a Game 7 in this series. Below are some reactions from social media:

“NBA finals so rigged okc gonna smoke the pacers in game 7,” one fan commented.

“tell me the @NBA want 7 games in this finals series without saying it. OKC could wipe the floor with Indiana every game but here we are. Game 7 incoming. shameless refereeing and commercialisation of sport,” another fan said.

“Every thunder trip down the floor: awful basketball… every pacers trip: refs blowing the whistle nba finals suck,” a fan said.

“This NBA finals game 6 is so rigged it’s pathetic!” another fan wrote their opinion.

“NBA finals rigged? Last 2 drives for OKC phantom fouls are called. Replay shouldn’t be required to overturn no contact,’ a fan said.

Indiana Pacers dominate NBA Finals Game 6

The Indiana Pacers exhibited dominance throughout the majority of NBA Finals Game 6, holding a 30-point advantage over the Oklahoma City Thunder by the conclusion of the third quarter. The Pacers, needing a victory to extend the series to a Game 7, were ahead 90-60 at their home arena with one quarter remaining.

In Game 6 of the NBA Finals, Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton took to the court despite contending with a strained right calf.

Throughout the series, Haliburton has faced challenges with lower leg issues, and the calf strain intensified during Game 5 on Monday evening. He managed to play through the discomfort for the last three quarters of that defeat against the Thunder, although he largely refrained from attempting shots in the second half.

Despite the injury, he continued to participate in the game and delivered a commendable performance while receiving treatment on the sidelines whenever he exited the court.
