Pat Cummins Faces Witty Mockery from English Presenter in Lead-Up to WTC Final

As he prepares for the World Test Championship Final against South Africa in England, Australia skipper Pat Cummins seems to be in a somewhat relaxed state. Before traveling to England for the crucial WTC championship game, the Australian captain lately completed his tenure with the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. Cummins became engaged in a few off-the-field responsibilities after arriving there. He recently filmed a hilarious segment with renowned British TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson and other TV stars Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland.
Before the WTC final in London, a Prime Video video went viral showing Cummins and the other three playing cricket. Cummins is struck by a couple of blows at the beginning of the video, which prompts Clarksen to fire at him.
"Do you ever get anyone out?" he asked.
But Cummins got the better of him and cleaned him up with the very next ball, so Cooper, who was batting at the time, didn't age well.
"Why did you do that?" Cooper yelled to Clarksen.
In their second consecutive WTC championship game, Cummins will captain the Australian squad. Following the victory over India in the previous edition, he guided them to the championship. In the meantime, after placing first in the third edition of the ICC competition, South Africa will be competing in their first WTC championship.
Pat Cummins: 'There's always a touch of intrigue surrounding South Africa.'
Cummins heaped praise on the Proteas and thinks the Temba Bavuma-led team has a number of game-winners that can provide competition.
They appear to participate in every competition all the time. The Aussie skipper stated, "They have a lot of experience, particularly the white-ball teams—they play in several franchise leagues. Rabada, Maharaj, Bavuma, they have played a lot of cricket throughout the years."
"They have really good fast bowlers, they always seem to have not just one or two main guys but they have got four to six guys they can call," he stated.
The Australian captain claimed that because they haven't played South Africa as frequently as India, there is a certain air of mystery surrounding their encounters.
"You haven't seen a lot of some hitters, but they have racked up a lot of home runs. (We have) played the majority of the team's players, but certainly not all of them. Because we don't play them as frequently as India, for example, there is always a degree of mystery surrounding South Africa, he said in conclusion.
