Novak Djokovic Breaks Down His Game Plan to Tackle Jannik Sinner
6 months ago | 5 Views
At the Philippe-Chatrier court on Friday, Novak Djokovic will play Jannik Sinner in their semifinal match of the French Open 2025. In his quest for his 25th Grand Slam championship, Djokovic will be competing in his 51st Grand Slam semi-final. This year, however, Sinner has been completely dominant at Roland Garros, winning his first match against Arthur Rinderknech without losing serve.
The Italian has won 19 straight Grand Slam matches, including championship victories at the 2024 US Open and 2025 Australian Open.

"I know what to expect from Jannik."
Prior to the game, Djokovic stated, "I know what to expect from Jannik."
"As he did in almost every tournament he participated in over the last year and a half, he's going to come out and play at a very high level. From him, I would expect nothing less. However, it is through these sorts of competitions and trials that I am at my best. You can't be more driven than when you're facing the top player in the world at the conclusion of a grand slam while playing a best-of-five, late-stage game.
"That's how I see it right now. I don't consider how I'm going to prevent him. I consider how I will carry out my plans on the court and experience the emotions I want. My head is there, he continued.
In addition, the Serbian player has been in excellent shape, as evidenced by his quarter-final victory against Alexander Zverev on Wednesday.
Prior to the game, Jannik Sinner stated, "He has shown now in the last period that he is back to the level. It will be highly tactical and extremely tough because he plays very, very well. With 24 grand slams under his belt, I believe that speaks for itself.
