Mohammed Siraj's present red-ball performance was given a hard-hitting reality check by former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar to head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Shubman Gill. Following his recent lackluster showing, the top pacer has come under scrutiny. In the Leeds Test, he failed to make an impression as well, taking two wickets in the first innings but none in the second.

It will be a tough decision, but it will be based on comparing Mohammed Siraj's current performance to that of Prasidh Krishna and figuring out how to make him a bit more cost-effective.

The former cricketer also said that Kuldeep Yadav should take the place of a frontline pacer in the Indian team, and that Nitish Kumar Reddy should take the place of Shardul Thakur.
