In his MLS match against the NY Red Bulls on Saturday, Lionel Messi was outstanding as usual, scoring a brace in Inter Miami's 5-1 victory. In the second half, the Argentine scored twice and displayed his brilliance once more. Additionally, he received two assists during the game and was praised by Javier Mascherano, the team's head coach.

"I was with him for eight years at Barcelona, with the national team, at airports, hotels - especially in places he hasn't visited often, people go crazy," Mascherano said in an interview after the game.

He is the source of all of this. The adoration is complete, in my opinion, but not solely because of the type of player he is. In my opinion, he's an example of someone who goes beyond the game. Michael Jordan, Rafael Nadal, Messi, and other athletes who have left their mark on their sport are revered by all sports enthusiasts. It's an honor for us to see this firsthand.

The inclusion of Jordi Alba and Messi to the MLS All-Star game also irritates Mascherano. “This was a tough time with all the travel and little rest - the match against Cincinnati reflected our fatigue,” he said.
