After her flight to Doha was canceled, Manika Batra is now stuck at the Mumbai airport, and her involvement in the WTT Contender Buenos Aires 2025 competition is still up in the air. The 2020 Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna award recipient posted on X (previously Twitter) that she is seeking answers because the personnel at Qatar Airways are of no assistance to her.

Manika Batra emphasized her ordeal by noting that she had to fly to Argentina from Doha. She has now contacted the Prime Minister's Office, Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, and Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya for assistance.

"URGENT - NEED IMMEDIATE HELP. My flight QR 557 (Mumbai to Doha), which was scheduled to depart at 04:10 IST, has been canceled. I'm scheduled to represent India in an international competition beginning tomorrow in Argentina, where I flew from Doha. She wrote on X, "I had a connecting trip from Doha to Argentina, where I'm scheduled to represent India in an international tournament starting tomorrow."

She also emphasized that the only way for her to get to the destination on time was to take a flight to Doha, followed by one to Argentina. She also stated that the Qatar Airways personnel are ignoring all of her requests, even though they are aware of the circumstances.

“This was the only way to get in touch with him in time.” Despite being aware of the circumstances, the personnel at Qatar Airways in Mumbai are of no assistance and are ignoring all of my urgent requests. I beg for your assistance in getting rebooked on the next available flight. "Please help," she said.

Manika Batra is best known for her double gold medals at the Commonwealth Games. She also has a bronze medal from the Asian Games, Asian Championships, and Asian Cup.

Manika Batra is the first Indian woman to win a bronze medal at the Asian Cup. In 2020, she was awarded the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna.

At the Paris Olympics in 2024, Manika Batra reached the Round of 16 in the women's singles event, becoming the first Indian paddler to reach this far at the Olympics in a singles event. However, she lost to Japan's Miu Hirano in five games.
