In an interview conducted in India on July 15, Trevor Lawrence, the quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, described his father's viral moment during the 2021 NFL Draft as "crazy." The 25-year-old, who may wish to put the event behind him, discussed it on Barstool Sports' Pardon. The My Take podcast. At the 2021 NFL Draft, the National Football League (NFL) selected Trevor as the first overall pick.

In a photo of the NFL quarterback with his family members that co-host Dan "Big Cat" Katz displayed on the podcast, he also pointed out that Jeremy Lawrence, Trevor's father, appeared to be both crowded and visibly at ease on the couch.

This occurred when the Jaguars were on the clock with the top overall selection. The New York Post reported that Trevor could be seen in the viral photograph sitting next to his wife Marissa, father Jeremy, and mother Amanda.

Katz inquired of the Pro Bowl quarterback as to why the family didn't provide Jeremy "any space" on draft night while displaying the picture. Katz even showed a previous X post from him in which he posed a similar question during the 2021 NFL Draft.

Trevor responded to Katz's post on the social media site by saying on the podcast that he recalls the event, saying, "I was dying." "Can we get Trevor's dad a little nut space, talk about squeezed out," Katz wrote in his X message.

Regarding the viral image, Katz claimed that, although he didn't want to "disrespect" Trevor's father, the others had "basically made it like he doesn't have (privates)." Trevor couldn't stop laughing when he heard this and even used his hand to hide his face.

Additionally, the official X account of the Pardon My Take podcast tweeted the episode. The platform saw its rapid dissemination and over 500,000 views.

In the interim, Trevor described Jeremy, his father, as "such a nice guy," "selfless," and "wanted to give the couch away to me, Marissa, my mom - just a stud."

Additionally, he described the viral image as "crazy" and admitted that Jeremy clearly appears to be "not comfortable" in it. After that, Katz questioned the NFL star about whether he had apologized to his father for what happened.

In response to this, Trevor said that when he showed Katz's X post to his father, "he was just like shaking his head," but he didn't say anything. "That's hilarious. Sacrificing nuts for the draft... Love you, dad," he said at the end.

During the 2021 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected the 25-year-old with the first overall pick.

Marissa was a soccer player at Anderson University when she was in college. She eventually became an event organizer.

On April 10, 2021, they got married in South Carolina.
