As speculation about his possible trade intensifies, everyone is looking at Kevin Durant with the upcoming offseason in mind. Before making a final choice on Durant, the Arizona club has been advised to consider their options in light of the developing reports, even if the Phoenix Suns forwards have already been associated with major clubs like the San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks.

Charles Barkley, a longtime NBA expert, was a guest on a sports radio program earlier this week when the Durant trade conversations were discussed. He advised the Suns to do what was best for the squad while evaluating the possibilities. Even though Durant is older and has a contract, he believes the team can still benefit from it, but in order to do so, he advised the front office to take its time when considering each of the proposals.

"Some individuals will take a chance with him, some will not," Barkley said. "Probably not going to get a lot but somebody might be stupid and give you a lot."

The 36-year-old played 62 games in total, averaging 26.6 points per game, six rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.2 blocks. He missed a number of games toward the conclusion of the previous season.

Durant's departure from the Suns is inevitable, according to an insider, although it is unknown where he will go next. On the ESPN program 'Get Up,' Brian Windhorst stated, "I do believe Kevin Durant will be traded in the coming weeks. I expect them to look into the trade market pretty soon."

Since Durant will be an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, after having agreed to a four-year, $194.2 million deal in 2022, the Suns are even more motivated to trade him for something before they lose him.
