KL Rahul Earns Praise for Near-Perfect Form from Manjrekar
4 months ago | 5 Views
After evaluating KL Rahul in the current Test series against England, Sanjay Manjrekar said that there are no obvious flaws in his game. Since Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's retirement, Rahul has already hit a few centuries in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy and is now taking on the duties of a senior batter. The senior batter has quieted his detractors, who had previously questioned his inconsistency, by scoring 375 runs in three Tests at an average of 62.50 runs.
Rahul earned a spot among the elite Indian batsmen whose names have appeared numerous times on the renowned Lord's honor board after hitting a century there. But despite his excellent performance, India lost the game and is now down 1-2 in the five-game series.
The elegant hitter had frequently drawn fire for not consistently producing and failing to live up to his potential. Nevertheless, he has excelled in his position as a senior player, which has brought out the best in him and enabled him to flourish with more responsibility.

Rahul's performance in the series pleased Manjrekar, a former Indian cricketer. He claimed that the star opener has addressed the flaws in his approach, enabling him to be more consistent.
As a former cricketer and analyst, my greatest joy has come from seeing KL Rahul. The game has always belonged to him. Although his approach had some hazy spots, he addressed and fixed them. Consistency was lacking. We even jokingly gave him the moniker "Mr. Consistent KL Rahul" on one of our shows, but it took him a while to really deserve that moniker, Manjrekar stated on JioHotstar.
There are no apparent flaws in KL Rahul's hitting.
Rahul's development as a Test cricketer was praised by Manjrekar, who highlighted that, after over 50 games for India, he is now exhibiting a quality of batting that approaches excellence. He noticed that Rahul has developed exceptional composure and that his approach and attitude have no apparent flaws.
“He has now played over 50 Test matches for India, and what I’m seeing now is almost flawless — there are no apparent flaws. He has surpassed 200 runs for the first time in an international series. India's biggest takeaway for me is that," he continued.
