Before the game against the New York Liberty, all eyes were on the Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark because she had been lighting up the court so effortlessly. But according to ESPN, Clark is still a question mark for Wednesday's game because she has a right groin ailment.

The basketball player "felt a little something in her groin," according to team coach Stephanie White, who spoke to reporters after Clark's club defeated the Connecticut Sun 85-77 in the game's final minute.

What happened to Caitlin Clark?

With about 40 seconds remaining in the game, Caitlin made a bounce pass to her teammate Kelsey Mitchell before grabbing the inside of her right thigh and heading over, slamming her head against the stanchion as a sign of irritation.

"I think we just take it one step at a time," the coach said, continuing, "We'll get some food, get on the plane, and start talking about New York." She's being assessed, and we'll see where we are with that. And surely we'll have another assessment and, most likely, a discussion in the morning to see where we are. However, this team has performed without her. We do, at least, have experience with that. We are aware that New York presents a formidable challenge for us. Regardless of what, we are aware that it will be difficult, and we must concentrate and be prepared to compete.

Prior to the All-Star break, this is the second leg of a back-to-back

Clark had previously been sidelined for nine regular-season games this season due to a variety of illnesses, despite never having missed a contest in her college or professional career prior to this year. These comprise a previous injury to her left groin and two prior wounds to her left quad.

With Clark, Indiana is 8-5 this year; without him, the team is 4-5.
