Fans were unaware that they were tuning in to a Sabrina Ionescu and Caitlin Clark spectacle when they turned to watch the Liberty vs. Fever matchup in the WNBA on Saturday.

From the outset, both superstar players scored point after point, bringing the game down to the wire. Sabrina Ionescu and Caitlin Clark delighted the crowd with their three-pointers and shooting prowess, trading jabs with one another and scoring over 30 points apiece. Ionescu scored 34 points in the contest, while Clark scored 32.

During and after the game, the fans were abuzz, calling the Liberty vs. Fever matchup a Sabrina Ionescu vs. Caitlin Clark exhibition.

The Fever triumphed in the end, defeating the defending champions for the first time this season by a score of 102-88. The Fever also avenged their loss to the Liberty in May, which was Caitlin Clark's last game before her quadricep injury, with the victory.

Ionescu helped her teammates four times and grabbed two rebounds, while Clark had nine assists and eight rebounds.

The Fever are 5-5, and the Liberty are now 9-1.
