England Make Tactical Change for Manchester Test, Bring Back Veteran Spinner After Eight Years

With Shoaib Bashir out of the game due to an injury, England has named their starting lineup for the Manchester Test, with only one change from their XI from the Lord's Test, and that change was imposed upon them. Liam Dawson, a left-arm orthodox bowler, has taken the place of the off-spinner for the fourth Test, where the hosts will be hoping to establish a 3-1 lead in the series that cannot be defeated. The English team has defeated India at Headingley and Lord's by maintaining its composure in critical situations, even if it hasn't totally controlled the series.
On the third day of the third Test, Bashir was ruled out for the rest of the series due to a break on his left hand's index finger as he attempted to block a strong drive from Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Since then, Bashir had surgery.
Dawson, 35, who made his third and final red-ball career Test appearance against South Africa in July 2017, was able to return thanks to his departure. After almost seven years, Dawson's recall to the international stage is the result of his steady play in county cricket, where he has shown promise with both bat and ball.

Despite the strong criticism from the former players, Zak Crawley, who has been under fire and has not been able to make an impression in this series, has somehow managed to keep his position. The hosts kept the same pace attack from the previous game: Chris Woakes, Brydon Carse, and Jofra Archer.
After a recent injury crisis in the camp, however, Team India is in difficulty. Arshdeep Singh will miss the Manchester test, and Nitish Kumar Reddy has been eliminated from the series. After being evaluated for bowling fitness in the middle under the watchful eye of coach Morne Morkel, Akash Deep, who has been nursing a groin injury since the Lord's Test, was not given the all-clear by the team physio to try out the nets right away. Anshul Kamboj has been added to the team for the previous two games, and he could make his debut in the fourth.
XI from England:
Jofra Archer, Brydon Carse, Chris Woakes, Liam Dawson, Jamie Smith (wk), Ben Stokes (c), Harry Brook, Joe Root, Ollie Pope (vc), Ben Duckett, Zak Crawley.
