The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Monday that there would be a few venue modifications for the upcoming home season. Previously scheduled to host the second Test between India and West Indies in October 2025, the Eden Gardens in Kolkata will now host the first Test between India and South Africa in November.
The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi will now host the second Test between India and West Indies.
The second Test against West Indies, which was initially scheduled for Kolkata, will now take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. In the meanwhile, the BCCI announced in an official statement that the first Test against South Africa, which begins on November 14, 2025, has been moved from New Delhi to Kolkata's Eden Gardens.
At Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium, the outfield and pitches are also undergoing refurbishment. As a result, the upcoming ODI series between India and Australia Women has been relocated from Chennai.
The Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi will host the third and last ODI, while the first two ODIs will now be played at the New PCA stadium in New Chandigarh.
The three one-day matches between India A and South Africa A have also been shifted from Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium to the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. The BCCI has not given a clear explanation for this.
