After weeks of rumors about his future, Cristiano Ronaldo agreed to a two-year contract extension with Saudi Pro League team Al Nassr. The club published a teaser video with Ronaldo saying, "Al Nassr forever," as he strolled along a beach after the official announcement.

Ronaldo, who is currently 40 years old, has not had a smooth trip to Saudi Arabia. The Portugal international had also hinted at leaving, and Al Nassr had failed to make the AFC Champions Elite for this season.

But at this point, it seems like he will retire with Al Nassr. Ronaldo has also been given a signing-on bonus of £24.5 million, which will rise to £38 million if he stays for the second year of his deal, according to The Sun.

He will also be making 178 million pounds in salary every year, or 488,000 pounds daily, according to The Sun. If Ronaldo activates his 4 million pound bonuses (for winning the Golden Boot) and 8 million pound bonuses if Al Nassr wins the title, he will make 492 million pounds, which might increase to more than half a billion pounds.

Additionally, the article mentions that Ronaldo has been granted a 15% ownership interest in the team, which is valued at £33 million.

Following his departure from Manchester United, Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in 2022. According to Forbes, the transfer made him the highest-paid athlete in the world, and he has also been at the top of the list for the past three years. During Ronaldo's time with the team, they only won the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023, and they missed out on significant championships.

In the 2022–23 and 2023–24 seasons, Al Nassr placed second in the league, and the prior season, they finished third.
