Cooper Flagg, the 18-year-old prodigy from the Duke Blue Devils, recently came out on top as the No. 1 pick for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Draft, which, as expected, ended. It's possible that supporters won't have to wait for the regular season to watch Flagg play for the Mavericks due to unforeseen events. As part of a summer league doubleheader, the NBA revealed on Thursday (June 26) that the Mavericks would be facing the Los Angeles Lakers.

What is the league?

In what should be an intriguing start for the youngest player in this draft season, Flagg will compete against the Lakers' Bronny James as part of the Vegas Summer League. This is why the matchup between the Mavericks and the Lagers has been given a primetime spot.

The game will then be followed by a face-off between the San Antonio Spurs and the Philadelphia 76ers, who were selected second and third in the draft. Dylan Harper from the Spurs will be facing off against VJ Edgecombe from the 76ers.

In a social media update, ESPN made a similar announcement, stating, "July 10, @ESPNNBA will present an @NBASummerLeague doubleheader ft. the Mavericks debut of @Cooper_Flagg against the Lakers & Bronny James.".

This debut is crucial for the careers of all draftees, especially Flagg's, since there is extra pressure associated with being the top overall pick. However, as the 55th overall selection, James joined the league last season.

When and where should I stream?

The Mavericks and Lakers are scheduled to play on July 10 at 8 PM ET. At 10 p.m. ET, the Spurs will play the 76ers. Both games can be seen live on ESPN.

The Vegas Summer League, which will include all 25 of the most recent selections, is set to run from July 10 through July 20.
