The American Nightmare's contentious victory raises doubts among many as to whether it will transform the final into a four-way battle for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam, despite the fact that it places him in the direct path to contend for it.

Despite the fact that Rhodes is unquestionably the champion of the Night of Champions, the way he won the title has led some to wonder if there may be additional changes in the future. This would include the specific occasion when he won the championship by hitting Cross Rhodes after sending The Viper ribs-first into bare steel on the turnbuckle.
