Caitlin Clark’s Candid Reflection on NBA Finals Game 6: “I Wish…”
5 months ago | 5 Views
Caitlin Clark has been closely following the NBA Finals series, supporting the Indiana Pacers in their matchup against the Oklahoma Thunder. However, she feels disheartened because Game 6 coincides with her own game for the Indiana Fever in the WNBA.
Prior to the Thursday night game against the Golden State Valkyries, the Fever star candidly expressed her feelings regarding the WNBA Finals: she wished she could witness the Indiana Pacers play live.
"I wish it didn't coincide with our game, but I have confidence in the Pacers for Game 6. I believe they will extend it to a Game 7. I think all basketball enthusiasts would enjoy a Game 7 in OKC," Caitlin Clark remarked to reporters before the WNBA matchup.
While Clark and the Fever compete against the Valkyries, she mentioned that she would keep an eye on the score of the NBA Finals Game 6 and follow the progress of the game.
"It's likely starting around now, I presume. Honestly, I will probably check the score a few times on my phone before our game begins, but aside from that, I probably won't know the final score until after we finish playing," she added.

Caitlin Clark's confrontation with the Connecticut Sun
The Indiana Fever’s encounter with the Connecticut Sun was far from typical, showcasing high-energy play, emotional outbursts, and a notable display of determination from Sophie Cunningham, who stood up for her teammate Caitlin Clark. In a game characterized by physical confrontations and escalating tensions, Cunningham captured attention with a passionate reaction that highlighted not only her competitive spirit but also her martial arts expertise.
On June 17, 2025, during an intense regular-season game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, tensions escalated between the Indiana Fever and the Connecticut Sun. The incident was triggered late in the third quarter when Jacy Sheldon poked Caitlin Clark in the eye, followed by a shove from Marina Mabrey. In retaliation, Cunningham—who holds a black belt in taekwondo—rushed in to protect Clark, delivering a hard foul on Sheldon that sparked a brawl and ultimately resulted in her ejection from the game.
