Former India all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin can be trusted to express a cricket-related viewpoint that few people would even consider, let alone share it in public forums. Ashwin believed that Akash Deep, India's pacer, deserved the Player of the Match trophy for the second Test at Edgbaston, not captain Shubman Gill.
