In anticipation of the IPL 2025 Final between the Punjab Kings and the Royal Challengers Bangalore, AB de Villiers has sided with his longtime buddy and former teammate Virat Kohli. The South African legend, who spent more than ten years with the franchise, gave an emotional speech imploring Kohli to savour the moment as RCB stood just one victory away from winning their first IPL championship.

De Villiers told Virat in a Star Sports-uploaded video on X, "My message to Virat is to go out and enjoy and have fun out there. Smile. I'll be there rooting for you. Bring the (IPL) trophy home. savor every moment.

The last game, which is set for Tuesday, June 3, at the famous Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, will be a historic moment for both squads. Although the Punjab Kings defeated the Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 by a thrilling five-wicket margin to secure their place in the championship match, the RCB have defeated the PBKS twice this year, capitalizing on their current form and momentum.
