The producers of the sequel have released a new song named Preet Re, which embodies the lighthearted essence of first love, after the trailer for Dhadak 2 and the touching title tune Bas Ek Dhadak were so popular. The song features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri.

Lyrics and melody designed to be universally appealing

Preet Re, which features the vocals of Darshan Raval, Rochak Kohli, and Jonita Gandhi, was written by Gurpreet Saini. With its straightforward lyrics and peaceful melody, the song aims to attract listeners of all ages.

The song's lyrics, such as "Dhadkan yeh hi kehti hai, dil mein tu hi rehti hai," reflect the melody of a slow and mild love awakening. The visuals are light and seductive, depicting the unplanned interactions between Siddhant and Tripti's characters—their smiles, their emotions, and the start of their relationship.

More than just a song, it's an emotion.

When talking about the song, Preet Re, Darshan Raval said that it's not simply a tune but rather an emotion. The song's theme is the peaceful and beautiful feeling that comes over you when you realize how much someone means to you, he said. It was an experience to create the song.

In addition to Raval and Kohli, Jonita Gandhi's voice may be heard in the tune. With this song, she said, they have attempted to capture the innocence of falling in love for the first time. The great singer hopes the audience feels the same emotion they did when they performed it.

sincerity and simplicity

Preet Re's simplicity and sincerity are what Rochak Kohli sought to combine. When he composed the song's music, this was his objective. The song, which is a celebration of real, unforced love—much like first love—makes him happy with the result.

Shazia Iqbal is directing Dhadak 2, which is being produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Meenu Aroraa, Somen Mishra, and Pragati Deshmukh. The movie will be released in theaters on August 1, 2025, by Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures.

The legacy is continued by the follow-up to Dhadak.

The sequel, which carries on in the same vein as the original Dhadak, appears to be charting its own course, placing a strong emphasis on feelings, musical accompaniment, and a fresh romantic relationship.
