The producers of Madharasi, the forthcoming action thriller featuring actor Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, are set to start the promotions by releasing the first single with just over two months till its premiere. The promo might be released at any moment now. The movie, which AR Murugadoss is directing, will be released on September 5.

Madharasi update: Sivakarthikeyan and Anirudh to sing the first single?

Actor Sivakarthikeyan, who was most recently seen in Amaran, will star in the upcoming movie by director AR Murugadoss. The creators of Madharasi have revealed that the movie will premiere on September 5. According to reports, the first single will be sung by Anirudh Ravichander and Sivakarthikeyan himself, and the squad is getting ready to release it. The producers have not yet issued an official statement.

Madharasi, which is promoted as an action thriller, marks AR Murugadoss's return to directing in Tamil cinema after his 2020 film Darbar, which starred Rajinikanth. Given that his previous film, Sikander, featuring Salman Khan, was a box office failure, AR Murugadoss must ensure that Madharasi succeeds.

The production banner Sri Lakshmi Movies is financing the forthcoming project. Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth, who recently made her Tamil debut in Vijay Sethupathi's Ace, will play the female lead. Vikranth, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, and Shabeer Kallarakkal are a few more members of the ensemble. Sudeep Elamon will shoot the movie, and Sreekar Prasad will handle the editing. The movie's release date has not yet been revealed.

Parasakthi by Sivakarthikeyan

Following Madharasi, the actor will collaborate with Sudha Kongara on Parasakthi, which will star Sreeleela, Ravi Mohan, and Atharvaa. Parasakthi is expected to be released in the first half of 2026, despite the fact that a release date has not yet been disclosed. The music for Parasakthi was composed by GV Prakash, an Amaran composer.
