Shehnaaz Gill and Sunny Singh’s new song, Dhup Lagdi, was officially unveiled on Monday. The Punjabi actress is currently basking in the success of her recent projects in the music and acting domains. After her much-awaited musical debut as a singer with Raveena Tandon’s Patna Shuklla, Shehnaaz is back with another song. Titled Dhup Lagdi, the latest release features Shehnaaz Gill and Sunny Singh as a couple dealing with separation after a natural disaster.

Earlier, a teaser clip was shared by Shehnaaz, which sparked enthusiasm among fans, and thankfully, you won’t have to wait any longer as the entire song is now available to watch on YouTube. Apart from the soulful vocals of Shehnaaz Gill, Udaar collaborates as the lyricist and composer, along with Aniket Shukla.

Shehnaaz Gill’s success journey is nothing but inspirational. Ever since she won hearts with her bubbly personality in Bigg Boss 13, Shehnaaz has worked dedicatedly for her craft. Recently, the actress turned singer after lending her voice to Dil Kya Irada Tera (Patna Shuklla). Now, Shehnaaz is ready to amaze her fans with her newly launched Punjabi single, Dhup Lagdi. The music video also features the lively actor Sunny Singh of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety fame and is available to watch on YouTube.

Directed by Dilsher Singh and Khushpal Singh, Dhup Lagdi is crooned by Shehnaaz Gill. In the music video, Shehnaaz and Sunny are featured as a couple who struggle to earn a livelihood after the disastrous floods ruin their crops. This forces the farmers to make the hard choice of leaving their loved ones to make a living. Dhup Lagdi is an ode to love and separation and is set against the rural backdrop of Punjab.

Shehnaaz and Sunny both ace their desi avatars in simple attire, and their impeccable chemistry enhances the theme of this love song. We see Shehnaaz as a village woman who is grappling with loneliness after her soulmate leaves the village.

The emotionally charged song showcases the yearning of two lovers amid financial challenges and natural disasters. But the musical video has a happy ending with the couple reuniting.

Sharing the clip of Dhup Lagdi on Instagram, Shehnaaz wrote, "Enjoy the bliss of true love in every note with ‘Dhup Lagdi’ (along with heart emoji).
