Dharma Productions has dropped the first teaser for “Bas Ek Dhadak,” the song from its upcoming film Dhadak 2. The studio shared a post saying, “Falling in love has never sounded this beautiful! #BasEkDhadak releasing tomorrow. #Dhadak2 hitting theaters August 1.” The song, sung by Jubin Nautiyal and Shreya Ghoshal, promises a touching romantic tune that sets the mood for the movie. The teaser shows lead stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri in a dramatic, colorful setting, hinting at a story filled with passion and heartbreak.

Dhadak 2 is directed by Shazia Iqbal and is a spiritual follow-up to the 2018 hit Dhadak. It’s also based on the praised Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. The movie is a joint effort from Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures, showing how Indian studios are teaming up more often.

Releasing “Bas Ek Dhadak” is part of a popular marketing trick in Indian movies—using emotional music to build excitement before the film comes out. Studies have shown that dropping a song early can get more fans interested and help the movie do better at the box office.

With the film opening in theaters on August 1, 2025, the song’s release on July 15 is likely to kick off a strong promotional push.
