Since its premiere more than a week ago, the Brad Pitt-starring sports drama F1 has been in the news, and it will be released in theaters worldwide on June 27, 2025. F1, which is about the Formula One World Championships, is directed by Joseph Kosinski, who also directed Top Gun Maverick. The cast of F1 includes Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, Javier Bardem, and others. The premiere screenings of the movie have garnered mainly favorable reactions.

Apple TV+ will stream F1

As F1 is an Apple film, its post-theatrical streaming will be on Apple TV+, but there is no word as of yet as to when it will be released on the service. According to reports, the ideal outcome is for F1 to debut on Apple TV+ three months after the theatrical release, with a potential window between the last week of September and the first week of October. Naturally, this will depend on how well the movie does in theaters.

In F1, Brad Pitt plays Sonny Hayes, a formerly promising F1 prospect whose career is sadly ruined by a terrible collision. Sonny is still somewhat involved in motorsport by racing in lesser events and driving a cab since his Formula One career is no longer at stake. After that, he gets a chance at fame when an old friend invites him to join a squad that is actually in the pits.

Sonny is still capable of orchestrating a comeback for his squad and himself thirty years after his last time piloting an F1 vehicle, despite the challenges posed by teammate Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris). With current Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time F1 Drivers' Champion, credited as one of the film's producers, it was filmed at genuine F1 Grand Prix tracks.
