Wamiqa Gabbi Expresses Delight Over Unexpected Success of Bhool Chuk Maaf

On May 23, Bhool Chuk Maaf, Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi's romantic comedy drama, debuted in theaters. The film was originally planned to be released in theaters on May 9, but due to the conflict between India and Pakistan, it was canceled and set for a direct OTT release on May 16. The movie's theatrical debut was, however, delayed until May 23 due to a legal battle with PVR INOX. The movie, which has been well received by viewers, is now available on Amazon Prime Video. Wamiqa discussed the movie and responded to the favorable reception in the middle of all of this.
Wamiqa Gabbi's positive reaction to Bhool Chuk Maaf
In an interview with Filmfare, Wamiqa Gabbi discussed Bhool Chuk Maaf and the positive feedback the movie has been getting despite prior legal troubles and numerous release dates. The actress expressed her delight at the positive feedback her movie has received.
"I am feeling very happy," Wamiqa stated. Astonished. Pleasedly shocked. Overwhelmed. I'm not sure how to put this. We are overjoyed by the audience's response and I don't believe anyone genuinely anticipated this. I am so happy that my parents and my entire family had such a good time. Given the reaction we were receiving, I decided I had to travel to Chandigarh to see the movie with my family. Therefore, I am really, really, really thrilled.
Wamiqa shared her father's response to Bhool Chuk Maaf, saying that he smiled and liked the movie. Additionally, she disclosed that her father cried during some of the film's more poignant moments.

All About Bhool Chuk Maaf
Ranjan (Rajkummar Rao) is the subject of Bhool Chuk Maaf, which tells the story of how he relives the memories of his haldi ceremony the day before his wedding as he becomes trapped in a time loop. The plot explores issues of love, worry, and second chances as Ranjan attempts to escape that cycle and keep a promise he made in the past.
The narrative discusses the societal norms surrounding mate selection, the repercussions of Ranjan's conduct, and the question of whether he will be able to end the cycle of time and wed Titli (Wamiqa Gabbi).
The movie, which is directed by Karan Sharma, also stars Sanjay Mishra, Seema Pahwa, Raghuvir Yadav, and Zakir Hussain. Amazon Prime Video is currently streaming the movie.
