The Delhi Files is now The Bengal Files

Vivek Agnihotri kept toying with the idea of changing his film's name from The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter to The Bengal Files. He has now gone ahead and done it! The Delhi Files is now The Bengal Files with the tagline: Right To Life.

When will The Bengal Files teaser release?

The Bengal Files teaser will be out on Thursday, June 12. It will be unveiled at 12 pm. The movie itself is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 5. The OTT platform for the movie remains unannounced at this point, but is likely to be Zee5.

About Vivek Agnihotri's film trilogy

Vivek Agnihotri set off to make a film trilogy and it commenced with The Tashkent Files. The movie was questioned the mysterious death of India's second Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri.

The Kashmir Files was Vivek Agnihotri's next film after The Tashkent Files. The exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from their homeland served as the basis for the film. Some regions of Kashmir are still experiencing the effects of the incident.

The Bengal Files, which have hitherto been conceived as The Delhi Files, will recount a different narrative of the fight for freedom. With Mithun Chakraborty playing the role of the tough old man Zakhmi Sipahi, the teaser for this film, which was released as The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter, features him reciting the Indian Constitution's preamble with a burnt tongue as he runs through an empty corridor. Darshan Kumaar, Anupam Kher, and Pallavi Joshi also have significant parts in the film.
