The revival of family dramas is here! Following the popularity of Kudumbasthan this year, Tourist Family is another family drama that has captivated audiences. The movie stars Simran and Sasikumar in the main roles, and it is directed by newcomer Abishan Jeevinth. The plot centers on a Sri Lankan family who illegally seek refuge in Tamil Nadu, but the remainder of the movie appears to be focused on whether the family will survive.

Tourist Family ending explained: Did police catch Dharmadas and his family?

When Dharmadas and his family, including his wife Vasanthi and their sons Nithushan and Mulli, arrive in Rameshwaram, they are arrested by police officer Bhairavan at the start of the movie. However, they are freed because of Mulli's presence of mind and excellent acting abilities. However, the family must not only conceal their Sri Lankan Tamil language and pretend to be Malayali, but they also have to work hard to adjust to their new environment and start over when they eventually start to settle into the Kesava Nagar Colony in Chennai. The family quickly starts to get along with their neighbors as Dharmadas starts working as a driver for Richard, who resides on the same street, and they win them over with their compassion and kindness. As a matter of fact, the colony comes to understand the true identities of the family members and forms even stronger bonds with them.

In a similar vein, a bomb explosion in Rameshwaram directs the police to a CCTV video that shows Dharmadas throwing waste near the crime scene, which causes Balwan Singh, a Hindi-speaking ruthless officer, to take over the case in order to apprehend Das and his family. Balwan, a harsh officer who physically abuses a suspect during the interrogation, is under even more pressure to apprehend Das. Bhairan, who has been helping Balwan in the chase, refuses to accuse Das when Balwan somehow rounds off Kesava Nagar and searches door to door. It is at this point that Balwan is also taken into custody under his own name as a result of the death of the man he had assaulted. The case on Das is closed since there is nothing that can be done.

It is now that Bhairavan tells Das in Sri Lankan Tamil that the whole community of inhabitants, including the Punjabi native, is in order to safeguard the refugee family. The tourist family comes to the conclusion that anyone can be won over by decency, kindness, and innocence. The family is no longer in danger of being caught since Bhairavan now has a newfound regard for Das and his family, and they are permitted to live in peace.
