In the movie, directed by Rahul Sadasivan, Mammootty portrays Koduman Potti, the enigmatic proprietor of the mansion.

The Spanish film Julia's Eyes served as the inspiration for the Hindi psychological thriller Blurr. Gayatri (Taapsee Pannu) looks into the strange demise of her twin sister Gautami (also Taapsee Pannu) in the film. The tale follows Radhika, an intern journalist who is a suspect in the murders she is looking into. Arif Khan directs the film, which features Alaya F, Priyanshu Painyuli, Aashim Gulati, and others.
