On June 20, Sitaare Zameen Par will be released in theaters nationwide. The movie, which stars Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh, and ten debut actors, is a remake of the Spanish movie Champions from 2018. In Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir plays a disgraced basketball coach who is compelled to mentor a group of neurodivergent adults for community service after a DUI. Despite his initial reluctance, he starts to bond with his players, which initiates a process of self-discovery, empathy, and inclusion for him and the group. The movie is a spiritual follow-up to the 2007 smash hit Taare Zameen Par. Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit are the producers, and R.S. Prasanna is the director.
