Weeks after it debuted, The Royals, Netflix's highly discussed romantic comedy series, was given a second season. The film starring Bhumi Pednekar and Ishaan Khatter has been a hit for the streamer, trending in 58 nations and holding the top spot in India for several weeks. However, the critic's comments about the performance were conflicting. Additionally, there were a number of negative online responses. The program's creators have stated that they have taken note of all the criticism that has been directed their way now that the second season has been approved.

The team is "still mapping that based of our learnings and findings on season 1," but will push the envelope in season 2, according to Rangita Pritish Nandy, the co-creator of The Royals. "What’s clear is that we will continue to push through on the romantic comedy heart of our show whilst adding newer royalty, their intriguing echo chambers and inner worlds, crack new characters," she adds.
In response to criticism and other comments the show has received, Rangita states, "We would be foolish not to consider them." The joy is in transcribing everything, both the good and bad, in order to achieve the season's objectives.
The Royals features Bhumi Pednekar and Ishaan Khatter, as well as Zeenat Aman, Sakshi Tanwar, Nora Fatehi, Dino Morea, Milind Soman, Chunky Pandey, Vihaan Samat, and Sumukhi Suresh.

Additionally, Maamla Legal Hai and the Black Warrant were both approved for S2.
On Wednesday, Netflix also revealed that two more well-liked programs would be returning. Black Warrant, Vikramaditya Motwane's highly praised jail drama, is a member of The Royals. Zahaan Kapoor will resume his role as jailor Sunil Kumar Gupta in the Tihar Jail for more exploits in the upcoming season. The oddball comedy Maamla Legal, which is set in a made-up district court in East Delhi, will also be available on Netflix. Upon its debut in 2024, the program, which stars Ravi Kishan, garnered rave reviews from all quarters.
None of the shows have a set release date or window as of yet.
