The fascinating sequel to Ben Affleck's 2016 action thriller film The Accountant is now available on Amazon Prime Video. In this thrilling thriller, Affleck reprises his role as a talented accountant who takes on a dangerous mission involving a former acquaintance in The Accountant 2, which was released in theaters on April 25, 2025.

On Monday, June 2, the streaming service made the announcement through a social media post. Thursday, June 5, will see the movie's release on the OTT platform.

Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck), a forensic accountant for criminal groups who is also a talented CPA with autism, lives an undercover life in this sequel. Wolff is drawn into a hazardous vortex by his ability to solve complicated issues. This occurs when an old acquaintance who has been killed leaves behind a message directing the recipient to "find the accountant." The case's complexity has an impact on him, and he gets in touch with his estranged sibling Brax (Jon Bernthal).

The couple are soon drawn into a deadly underground network of murderers who are out for the blood of anyone who attempts to obstruct their path in what began as a straightforward murder mystery. The deputy director of the US Treasury, Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), is also involved.

At its debut at the SXSW festival, the movie earned the Headliner Audience Award and made more than $100 million in theaters worldwide. The film has garnered favorable reviews, with an 86% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an overall positive reception from audiences and critics alike.

The movie, which was written by Bill Dubuque, stars Ben Affleck, Jon Bernthal, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Daniella Pineda, Allison Robertson, and J.K. Simmons. Ben Affleck, Lynette Howell Taylor p.g.a., and Mark Williams serve as producers under the direction of Gavin O'Connor. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's production company, Artists Equity, created the movie after purchasing the rights to the sequel from Warner Bros.

The plot and success of this sequel leave plenty of room for a possible third picture in the franchise as well. Additionally, Gavin O'Connor, the director, has stated that he would like to keep telling Wolff's tale.
