Thammudu is Nithiin's fourth flop in a row, as he is currently experiencing a difficult moment in his career. Dil Raju is producing his next film, Yellamma, which he must use to turn things around.

With this movie, Sapthami Gowda, who rose to fame in Kantara, made her Telugu debut, and her performance was widely praised. However, her efforts were in vain because the movie ultimately bombed.
