With a social drama directed by Venky Atluri, renowned for Sir and Lucky Baskhar, Tamil actor Suriya is about to make his Telugu debut, as first revealed by OTTplay. The film started off well, and Premalu star Mamitha Baiju will play the protagonist role.

We have now discovered more fascinating facts about the film's title. The film has the working title Vishwanathan and Sons, as we have discovered. The title is almost certain and will be formally revealed soon. It was also revealed by a person close to the unit that a different name was being considered, but Vishwanathan and Sons is the preferred choice of both Suriya and the director. The final decision will be made soon.

Suriya is currently going through a lull in his career, as his last two films, Kanguva and Retro, failed at the box office. To bounce back, he has chosen Venky Atluri to direct his first straight Telugu film. We had also reported that Suriya has been paid a career-high remuneration for this project, which is being produced by Naga Vamsi under the Sithara Entertainments banner.

With back-to-back hits to their credit, the makers are confident that they can make Suriya’s Telugu debut a smash hit. This is the first time Suriya will be seen opposite Mamitha Baiju, and their pairing has created even more buzz around the project.

According to sources, Suriya will play a significant part in the movie, which is currently being filmed in Hyderabad at a quick speed. The film features several notable figures from Telugu cinema in important roles.
